Working with a customer on a project, we had issue with Secure Mail 10.7 causing lag when composing email in iPad.
After some research, I found the solution on Citrix Web site and will share it with you here after:
Symptoms or Error
This issue happens only on iPad (all iOS versions). When composing a new email in Secure Mail (or forwarding or replying), the keyboard may take 20-45 seconds to show the text on the body of the mail while typing.
This issue does not happen on the native Mail app on iPads.
Android devices and iPhones are not impacted by the problem.
Solution
The workaround is mentioned below:
- Go to Settings
- Go to General > Keyboard.
- Turn off Shortcuts in the Keyboard settings.
- After this the keyboard lag does not happen in the Secure Mail app.
Problem Cause
Secure mail team found a piece of code in the app that was causing additional delay. The fix will be released with the next version of Secure Mail app. The tentative date for the release is next month.
