If you are using your ADC to provide VPN to users and you have client upgrade configured you should have some issue.
Working on CVE issue remediation for multiple customers, I discovered during 1 upgrade to Firmware 12.1 Build 55.18 using CLI that the AGEE_setup.exe is not upgraded
In this case, after the upgrade, when a user will connect, he will be prompted with the following
Upon clicking “OK” to upgrade, user gets kicked back to gateway login page and then prompted with this again…
In this case, as today, the workaround is to disable the client upgrade in the Session Policy:
To be honest, I did not try the Essential parameter but it should be interesting to give a try.
Here is some details from MPX using Firmware 12.0 Build 59.8
And Firmware 12.1 Build 55.18
As my customer also has Firmware 12.1 Build 52.15 on VPX, I checked to see and have the following
So I assume issue is not with 12.1 Build 55.18 as it was probably present with 12.1 Build 52.15.
The “solution/workaround” is to download the client from this URL
Note: URL does not reflect the version ( I asked Citrix to change it)
And upload the AGEE_Setup.exe to /netscaler/ns_gui/vpns/scripts/vista
You can then check with SSH client to ensure the file is present:
