Citrix Synergy 2019 Key Announcements – Part 2

Event

Here after are some Key announcements provided today during Citrix Synergy in Atlanta.

Workspace

  • Workspace intelligence –Citrix Workspace enables more efficient ways of working that improve employee engagement by delivering personalized, digital work experiences with streamlined, intelligent workflows and secure access to all applications and files from any device.
  • Performance analytics – Gain insight into the health of your Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) site(s), and via Machine Learning User Experience (UX) scores, identify and remediate user performance issues. T
  • Microsoft Teams optimization – Centralizing unified communications applications along LOB apps improves admin flexibility as they don’t have to manage all of the local installs. Optimizing the audio/video by redirecting to the endpoint gives users the same experience and performance as a local installation. Citrix is anticipated to be the first EUC vendor to deliver a Microsoft Teams optimization solution.
  • Security Analytics Microsoft integration – Citrix partners closely with Microsoft to blend Microsoft security events with Citrix information and data to uncover unique security insights.
  • Citrix Access Control integration with on-prem StoreFront – In terms of security, now Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops customers constrained to a traditional StoreFront deployment will have additional granular policy control for the access and use of SaaS and web applications side-by-side their existing virtual app and desktop workloads. In the context of moving to cloud, this will lower the threshold for adopting Citrix Cloud services by allowing customers to leverage their Citrix Gateway and StoreFront on-prem, while consuming new services from the cloud.
  • Citrix Access Control support for SSO and enhanced security for on-prem web apps – Citrix Access Control provides SSO and enhanced security policies across SaaS, web, and Citrix virtual apps, to provide a better end user experience and data governance for their SaaS and web applications.
  • Okta/Google Cloud identity integration – The Citrix Workspace integration with Google Cloud Identity and Okta simplifies the management of identities for admins, helps them add value to existing investments in identity solutions, and simplifies the log-in process to Citrix Workspace for their end users.
  • App protection – Now in Citrix sessions, admins can add another layer of security to ensure company information isn’t compromised by malware, such as screen-scrapers and keyloggers, ensuring that corporate data doesn’t fall into the hands of unauthorized parties. T
  • Security Analytics export to SIEM platforms (Splunk) – Many customers have standardized on Splunk as their primary SIEM provider. Now Citrix Analytics integrates with Splunk so customers don’t need to access a separate window to see their Citrix analytics data. Citrix Analytics adds unique security insights to a broader enterprise perspective. T
  • Native browser support for web filtering and enhanced security policies with Citrix Access Control – Enhance the choice of security administrators to secure browsing activity in both the Citrix Workspace and via a native browser.
  • Citrix Machine Creation Services on Google Cloud. As today the 3rd Cloud Provider to support MCS is Google.
